Black-Winged Stranger Maximus-Róman was not an ordinary Anlight. He was very wise with the ability to sense changes in the near future. No one knew why he was different or what made him this way. As a watchful leader, Maximus-Róman lived on the coast of Verda Island, which was connected to the bigger Awanland by a bridge. He chose to be at the closest point to the Old Land in case Varkins happened to come—he would be right there to organize any fighting against them.
